FAQs

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The whole wedding is taking place at Shotton Grange, from the ceremony until the last dance!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Yes, there is lots of outside space at the venue, so we hope to be outside for some of the day.

What happens after the ceremony?
What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible via the RSVP link so we can plan accordingly.

How do I get to the venue?

The venue is 6 miles from Newcastle Airport (15 minute car journey). It is 10 miles from Newcastle Central Train Station (20 minute car journey). The venue is also very easily accessible by road with lots of parking available.

What time should I arrive?

Although the ceremony does not start until 12:30pm, the bar is open from 11:30am.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is parking available at the venue. We will be the only guests there, so all parking is available. Parking is behind the main house. Please do not park in front of the main house.

Are kids welcome?

We absolutely love children, but are limiting the wedding to family children only. Hopefully this will allow some Mums and Dads to enjoy themselves!

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately not, we have limited numbers due to the venue size.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

There is some accommodation at the venue, but this is very limited and allocated to family members. Please see Hotels for accommodation that is close by.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by March 14th to allow us to plan accordingly. We will send an email with menu choices closer to the day.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

We will email menu choices closer to the wedding date. At that point, please let us know of any dietary requirements. Everyone can be catered for.

What would you like as a gift?

The most important thing to us is sharing our day with our favourites. If you would like to give us a gift, and you are not sure what to buy, we would really appreciate spending money for our honeymoon.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

No. Please see Taxis.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #OurWedding25 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
